Department of Peace and Nonviolence - Regional Model

coboroletobo Using the pending legislation to establish a U.S. Department of Peace and Nonviolence as a blueprint, this Model Project will envision and simulate how a "regional office" of the Department of Peace and Nonviolence (DoPN)will actually operate.
Although not specified in the current legislation, we anticpate there will be "Regional" offices because Best Practices dictate that effective intervention programs must include an understanding and consideration of the local demographics.
A "regional office" is being considered for several reasons:
- it simplifies the Model.
- it limits the scope of the effort to domestic activities of the DoPN.
- it is able to focus the effort on local issues that are of immediate concern to local Stakeholders (e.g. Legislators, Voters, Taxpayers, Practitioners, Service-Recipients)
